09 Katrina Love Senn lost 60 Lbs

Just a few days shy of her 20th birthday, Senn suffered from a major body breakdown, which left her bedridden. The health scare served as a total wake-up call, and when her doctor encouraged her to take experimental medication to deal with her symptoms, she opted to embark on her own, natural weight loss journey instead. For her, the magic bullet was just a little bit of movement.

“I committed to doing at least 15 minutes of movement every single day,” she says. She started with walking and, once she had more energy, gentle yoga and stretching. Fifteen minutes sounds way less intimidating than an hour-long cardio program, she explains, so the baby-steps approach kept her from feeling overwhelmed—and in the mean time, the scale budged to the tune of 60 pounds. She also found that her chronic asthma, eczema, and allergies faded away.
